Meeting Sundays at 6:00 p.m.
First Evangelical Church
4120 NE St Johns Road, Vancouver, WA
We ALL have hurts, hang-ups or habits. Celebrate Recovery is for all of us! Our community is filled with people who are hurting, struggling with addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.
Where can I get help?
Maybe you've never set foot inside of a church, or you're a little nervous about what will happen. Just walk in the doors and you'll be welcomed by caring people who are struggling through the same hurts, habits and hang-ups as you. We're all in the same boat, some are just further along the road to recovery than others.
Christ-centered 12 steps
Celebrate Recovery's purpose is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 12 Steps and 8 Recovery Principles. The Twelve Steps are very similar to those in Alcoholics Anonymous, etc., but we define the "higher power" as God's Son, Jesus Christ, and believe that he plays an active role in our lives. By sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our lives' problems. By working and applying the biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.
