THURSDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
SEPTEMBER 17 - NOVEMBER 12
NONE LIKE HIM
10 Ways God is Different From Us
(and why that's a good thing)
by Jen Wilkin
God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible.
And that's a good thing.
Our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God.
But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone. Calling us to embrace our limits as a means of glorifying God's limitless power, Jen Wilkin invites us to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God.
10:00-12:00 Thursday Mornings
In person at First E, online with Zoom, or individual study
Cost: $10 for the book
Sign up by emailing LBS@firste.org
So how's it going to work?
IN PERSON: If you feel comfortable attending in person, we will meet in the sanctuary and be socially distanced. Masks will be required.
ONLINE WITH ZOOM: If you cannot attend in person, we are offering an online version of the study at the same time. You can stay at home and participate on your computer. Each week we will send an email with a link to the zoom room and you just click the link in the email to go to zoom. We'll watch the same videos as they are watching live and Laura and Salli will be facilitating both live and in zoom at the same time. Mike will facilitate the men's group from zoom. It will ALMOST be like being there.
If you haven't used zoom, you need a computer with a camera, a tablet or a smart phone. If you would like to test it in advance so you aren't stressed out the first day of study, please email email@example.com and she will happily do a practice session with you.
INDIVIDUAL STUDY: If you can't meet in person, if you don't have the technology to use zoom online, or if the time just doesn't work for you, you can do the study individually. Let us know this is your plan and we will try to match you up with a prayer partner or two to discuss what your are reading and pray for each other.
