Fall Adult BIBLE STUDY:

Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount encompasses Matthew 5- 7.  Many parts of this sermon such as the Beatitudes or the Lord’s Prayer are familiar, but we seldom look at the sermon as a whole with its the overarching theme of the Kingdom of Heaven.  The author of the study asks us three questions:

(1) What does it say?

(2) What does it mean?

(3) How should it change me?

We will study what this passage teaches us about God and how that teaching can change our views and our responses.

The study starts on September 19th offering both a Men’s group and a Ladies’ group study of the Sermon on the Mount.  This is a 9 session study from 9:45 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.  each Thursday.  The video study  includes a workbook.  The Men’s study is in the Sanctuary led by Mike Radmacher and the Ladies study is in the Fireside Room led by Laura Schoenborn.

Cost for the workbook is $13.00.  Workbooks will be available for purchase in the church lobby on Sundays, September 8 and 15.  Scholarships for a workbook are available upon request.
